The Internet of
The world around us is getting increasingly smarter. Doorbells have cameras, coffee makers have a hot brew ready for you when you wake up, and farm equipment talks to each other to optimize harvesting. But as our everyday items get smarter, we’re increasingly faced with the challenge of keeping everything connected and working together. That’s where the LoRaWAN network comes in.
Connecting basic devices to the internet through cellular networks can be prohibitively expensive and power-intensive, meaning that smart devices are currently limited to only the tech that’s stationary in our homes. The network provides connectivity for devices ANYWHERE, enabling everything from connected water meters to trackable dog collars.
The network already has nearly 20,000 hotspots scattered across the world, but we’re a long way off from completing the mission. The average hotspot provides coverage for only a few kilometers, meaning that the continued expansion of the network is essential to its success. At Bloone, we work to aid in this expansion and empower you to be a part of this movement.
The Open Wireless Protocol
LongFi combines the LoRaWAN wireless protocol with blockchain so it can transfer data on the network.
LongFi delivers roaming capabilities and supports micropayment transactions so companies only pay based on network usage without needing to deploy gateways or network servers.
Bandwidth on the network is sold to manufacturers looking to connect their smart devices wherever they go, and those devices are then sold to consumers.
